2 teens arrested in connection with San Francisco scooter attack – NBC Bay Area

Police have arrested two 17-year-old women who are believed to have crashed their motorcycles into pedestrians, according to a press release from the San Francisco Police Department.

Police said the incident occurred in the city’s Mission neighborhood just before 4 p.m. on February 12.

Two adults reported that they were walking down 18th Street near Dolores Street when two women hit them on an electric skateboard. The suspects then continued to assault the victims by beating them before fleeing the scene.

Police said one of the victims was taken to a local hospital with multiple fractures.

Subsequent investigation led police to arrest a 17-year-old woman on February 15, after learning she was already being held in Alameda County on an unrelated charge.

The suspect was taken into custody by Alameda County officials and arrested by police on suspicion of two felonies: assault causing grievous bodily injury and assault by any means of force likely to cause grievous bodily injury.

Police detained the second 17-year-old suspect Saturday around 5:40 p.m. when patrol officers identified her at 24th Street and Mission Street. She was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault.
