SEATTLE — Promising rookie Julio Rodriguez made his first home run, a three-stroke Homer that put Seattle on top of the scoreboard, and the Mariners beat Team A 7-6 on Monday for their 13th straight win over Oakland.
Cal Raleigh and Eugenio Suarez scored two hurdles for Seattle’s game, which went 15-4 last season against Oakland, who has not lost with him since July 22, 2021.
The Mariners’ Zach Lugo both went out (2-3) from the A, who lost after allowing seven earned runs and six hits, walked four and crossed six.
Seattle writer Marco Gonzalez (3-4) pitched 5 1/3 innings to win. Paul Sould made a ninth in his second save of the year.
