Through these actions, Toyota Argentina is committed to the environment

In order for the planet not to rise above the dangerous 1.5 degrees Celsius, Toyota Argentina is incorporating hybrid technology into its vehicle marketing offering.

The auto industry is responsible for 9 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions

According to the study “Climate Change Accelerators: The Most Polluting Car Brands” conducted by Greenpeace, in 2018, the business groups with the highest emissions from manufactured vehicles were: Volkswagen – the manufacturer of Seat, Porsche, Skoda or Audi, among others; Renault/Nissan; Toyota, General Motors; and Hyundai / Kia.

The five manufacturers were responsible for 2.6 gigatonnes of CO2, Greenpeace blamed them for their failure to comply with CO2 reduction commitments and now in the context of the World Climate Conference in Glasgow, Toyota Argentina is showing that it is making a change in the method of production.

Toyota Argentina takes the first step

The Toyota Motor Corporation brand raised its Environmental Challenge 2050 in 2015, which consists of six business areas to contribute to decarbonizing the planet.

  1. Achieving zero pollutant emissions in vehicles.
  2. Achieving the creation of polluting emissions in its productive life.
  3. Achieving zero pollutant emissions in factories.
  4. Reducing and improving water use in production areas
  5. Create a society based on a culture of recycling.
