ADR delivers 1,600 aircraft to New Zealand | Flight News

ADR is a French-Italian aircraft manufacturer that has been able to establish two of its models – each in several variants – the most popular on the market. So this month it celebrates the delivery of its 1,600 aircraft, which will be Air New Zealand’s luck (Binter: Free way to build your naval expansion plan)

You need to be well aware of what the customer is asking for to produce an aircraft of this size. When an airline buys this aircraft, it gives you what no one else has. For example, the ATR acts very carefully on consumption or the ability to take off and land on very narrow runways. Everything helps to make a difference with competitors.

Air New Zealand received ATR 72-600. Precisely, the first 600 of this model was also for New Zealand, in this case Air New Zealand subsidiary Mount Cook Airlines. That was 2012. Air New Zealand, like many other airlines, must have been very satisfied with these aircraft because it has been purchasing them since 1994, when it added the first aircraft for regional flights in the country.

“We have a long association with ADR, which is the 29th Model 600 aircraft we’ve had since 2012,” said Greg Foren, the airline’s CEO. “With these aircraft we have increased the regional network by fifty per cent and they have proven to be the most efficient aircraft. With these aircraft we have carried 33 million passengers out of 636 thousand aircraft in New Zealand,” he said.
