Spain midfielder Aydana Bonmetti has been named the ‘Golden Ball’ of the World Cup, which distinguished the best player of the championship hosted by Australia and New Zealand and ended this Sunday with the title for Spain.

The 25-year-old FC Barcelona footballer signed a great match, especially in the opening match against Costa Rica, in the round of 16 against Switzerland and in the final against England, especially in the second part where his numbers grew. The Catalan, who scored three goals in the competition, is emerging as the favorite for the next Ballon d’Or after being named the best in the Champions League crowning his club.

It was not an individual award won by a player from the new world champion, as Spain’s striker Salma Parallelo, 19 years old and author of two important goals in the quarter-final and semi-final, was highlighted as the best young player of this World Cup. He became the first player to win both Under-20 and Under-17 World Championships. England player Mary Earps and Japanese player Hinata Miyazawa and Golden Boot (5 goals) were recognized as the best goalkeepers.
