Moscow, June 16 (EFE): Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune presented today his country’s mediation efforts in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, during his speech at the plenary session of the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg.

“We are ready to offer our efforts in mediation to resolve the dispute over Ukraine,” he said.

According to Tebboune, “Our only goal is to live in a world where progress prevails, the economy develops, and real integration takes place.”

“Many people lose as a result of wars because they bring destruction. That is why I wish all mankind peace, prosperity and security,” he said.

The Algerian leader thanked his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, for his “extreme restraint in his statements” during the forum.

He concluded by saying, “I conclude with your words, Mr. President, that you are a friend of all mankind, a friend of all the countries of the world. We in Algeria love everyone, except, of course, those who keep us enmity.” EFE
