An attractive immigration program to move to Galicia

In Spain, specifically in the autonomous community of Galicia, an innovative program has been created for immigrant children and grandchildren of Galicians. The plan is to attract those who have Galician origins and want to work in Galicia.

The proposal is called Return, Qualify, Emprego and provides stable employment opportunities, and it also covers air travel from the country where the interested party is located. It also provides financial support of €1,300.00 for housing costs.

Authorities stated that the initiative was designed by Xunta de Galicia and the Venancio Salcines Foundation. The government of Galicia stated that its provinces needed an expert workforce in engineering, medicine, electricity, technology, plumbing, and bakeries.

This opportunity can benefit many Cubans who are applying for Spanish citizenship through the Descendants Act. To access the program, there are requirements that must be met.

requirements to fulfill

The first component is Spanish nationality and the second is a relationship with Galicia. The Spanish passport must be updated and the person must be a resident of a country other than Spain.

Applicants between the ages of 18 and 50 must be the children or grandchildren of Galicians. Users will register through the digital website www.fundacionsalcines.org and complete the form.

In November 2022, Junta de Castilla y León informed about the possibility of receiving Cubans to work in Zamora. From this decision, the Zamora Challenge Project emerged to call the Spanish citizens from Cuba, Argentina and Mexico, who are part of the Zamora community.

This measure was intended for professionals working in the personal care sector. The previous year, Spain had hired more than 500 doctors from Cuba who had arrived in the Iberian Peninsula independently.
