Ana Ofelia Murguia dies at the age of 90

“It leaves a huge void on the stages of our country,” Federal Culture Minister Alejandra Frausto Guerrero said in a statement. “She left us a legacy not only artistic, but also humanitarian,” said Lucina Jiménez Lopez, Director General of INBAL. “She was a soft-spoken woman, who always stood up for the best causes.”

Over the course of more than four decades of his career, Murguia participated in approximately 70 plays and 90 films, including life sentence (1979), Maryam my heart (1979), Prophet Mimi (1972), Causes of light (1986), and Queen of the Night (1994).
