Andreu highlights the phenomenal quality and health-beneficial effects of Calagurritan vegetables – Spain

The President of the Government of La Rioja, Concha Andreu, participated in the opening of the 27th day of vegetable tastings held in Calahorra. “These conferences are an unbeatable opportunity for the hotel and restaurant industry in Calahorra to once again be our premiere show,” Andrew stated.

He noted that these conferences have “an outstanding tradition since 1996 and are ideal for glorifying the product of the Calgarytan grove, its preservation and production process”. Plus, Andrew continued, it’s “perfect days to share this excellent product with others, and it’s the best way to share who we are.”

“Today more than ever, we call for high-quality, fresh local produce that arrives on our tables as a result of the knowledge of family farming in our region,” Andreu noted. The chief said Calagoritana’s vegetables “shine because of their quality and proven beneficial effects on health.”

Finally, he stressed that vegetables “are one of the main pillars of the Mediterranean diet and are a cultural heritage of mankind, and in Calahorra we have spent two millennia improving technology to obtain the best product from our privileged orchard”.
