Apple helps you relax with the latest iPhone features

Campaigns – International

(01/31/24). Biscuit director Andreas Nilsson's two new spots for the brand's “Relax, it's iPhone” campaign, created internally by the brand, show the fun side of Apple's reassuring updates to the iPhone 15 and iOS 17.

The latest installment of Apple's “Relax, it's iPhone” campaign showcases the convenience parents can experience thanks to new tools added to the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iOS 17.

Created by Apple and directed by Biscuit Filmworks' Andreas Nilsson, these films have a fun, irreverent sense of humor that combines with their respective soundtracks — “Goodbye” by Aloe Blacc and “How Many Times” by JJ & The Mood — to focus On the fun side of the concerns and obligations of normal parenting, whether it's seemingly endless patience or worrying about your daughter's first days on the road.

The first movie, “New Driver,” highlights iOS 17’s Check In feature, which automatically sends a notification when a user reaches their destination. Finally, by automating the familiar “message me when you arrive” process, Check In shares the user's real-time location, battery level, and more information with the desired contact if they don't proceed to their destination.

The film depicts the intense anxiety felt by the protagonist father when his daughter – an inexperienced and somewhat reckless driver – leaves in her car for school. Exiting the driveway at breakneck speed, the daughter takes a skateboard and a garbage can with her, leaving her father petrified until he finally receives a check-in notification alerting him that he has arrived safely. The relief you feel as you exhale is palpable and perfectly embodies the on-screen slogan: Relax, it's an iPhone.”

The second film, “One More,” shows the infinite patience his uncle has with his nephew, a young martial artist determined to cut planks with karate, and has his uncle film the entire process.

Finding his technique ineffective, the boy is left to sneak away into the night, rhythmically tapping out “How Many Times” by JJ & The Mood. Unlike family members, who are becoming fewer and fewer, your uncle stays and keeps recording even after the sun goes down, thanks to the iPhone 15 Plus' all-day battery life.

The ads will air during the College Football Playoffs and will be streamed live on YouTube. The campaign follows TBWA\Media Arts Lab's recent “Baby Face” campaign, a “Shot on iPhone” collaboration with photographer Evan Kafka, showcasing portrait photography on the iPhone 15.
