Autumn Nations Series: Twickenham saw a great match between England and New Zealand

Autumn Nations Series: Twickenham saw a great match between England and New Zealand

England played with a lot of heart and managed to level New Zealand with 25 points in a game that had it all in eighty minutes.

In London and off to a disastrous start, the New Zealand third row made quick difference with tries from Hawker, Dalton Babali and Cody Taylor and conversions from Jordy Barrett. England lost, couldn’t get a foothold at Twickenham and had to go to the locker room ahead of Oceania 17-6 only for Owen Farrell’s penalty.

The All Blacks defended well in the second half and when they took their tally, they moved the scoreboard through the middle, Rico Ioane and a drop from Bowden Barrett. England rose from the ashes looking set for a knockout blow.

Admittedly Will Stewart and fullback, Freddie Stewart, will each try to stay in the game and inspire their team with sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Marcus Smith contributed his spoils and when everything suggested that New Zealand would win, again Stuart stamped his name in the stats practically in time to deliver the final figures in the actual game.

This way England bid farewell to the international window with a loss against Las Pumas, a win against Japan and a draw against the All Blacks, while the All Blacks reaped three wins (Japan, Scotland, Wales) and a draw.
