Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez; Cuba is not alone

Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez Parilla, emphasized today that 2021 has been a difficult year, but Cuba is not alone.

Cuba, Solidarity, American BlockadeThe Cuban Foreign Minister, in a message posted on his account on the social networking site Twitter, indicated that this year, which is about to end, has doubled support for the Greater Antilles, international solidarity and rejection of US policy.

Rodriguez Barilla emphasized that 2021 represents the tensions in Cuba due to the crisis of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition, he explained that there is evidence of an “additional tightening” of the economic, commercial and financial embargo against Cuba, as well as a greater number of destabilization operations aimed at harming our internal process and the peace of citizens.

“The year 2021 was a difficult year: tensions x #COVID19, further tightening of the blockade and destabilizing operations aimed at harming the internal process and the peace of the citizen. But #Cuba is not alone. Support and international solidarity have been doubled. US policy is rejected,” tweeted the head of Cuban diplomacy.

Although the blockade was renewed this year in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, international solidarity was present, and friends from Cuba sent their support in the form of donations of medical supplies, food and other essential products.

Likewise, the cruel and genocidal policy imposed on Cuba has been condemned in various international fora, and its eradication has been called for.
