Cuban Foreign Minister condemns US manipulation of human rights – Juventud Rebelde

Today, Bruno Rodríguez Parilla, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, considered human rights for the United States to be a utilitarian tool that it uses opportunistically to attack countries not subject to it.

Rodriguez Barilla confirmed, via his official Twitter account, that the United States rewards and funds governments with a terrible human rights record.

Recently, Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez stated, on that social network, that the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States is the main reason for violating the human rights of the Cuban people.

In a tweet posted on Tuesday, the diplomat described a State Department report the previous day as a lie from the Washington government, once again manipulating the issue to subvert the Caribbean nation’s constitutional order.

Rodriguez Parilla emphasized that the Cuban Social Justice and International Solidarity Project is a benchmark in the protection and promotion of human rights.

During the Caribbean island’s confrontation with the COVID-19 pandemic, Donald Trump’s government has intensified the blockade with more than 200 coercive measures, as part of a policy that the current president in the White House, Joe Biden, has not repealed.

A recent statement by the government of the largest of the Antilles, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the declaration that formalized the unilateral policy, affirms that the US economic, commercial and financial embargo is the central focus of Washington’s strategy aimed at restricting the legitimate right of Cubans to defend their sovereignty and forging a liberation project alien to hegemony imperialism.
