Desigual, with expansion plans in Australia and New Zealand

Fashion brand Desigual is looking to expand its presence in Australia and New Zealand, launching its spring-summer collection at several retailers in the region.

The first retailer is O’Rourke Showroom, which works with Desigual, and in the medium term, it is expected to extend a similar agreement with new retailers, including The Iconic, another popular fashion chain in Australia and New Zealand.

“We are excited to partner with O’Rourke Showroom and expand our retail presence this year with new retailers and make the brand more widely available in the country,” he explained. Balas GrizanicAsia Pacific GM Unequal.

According to Krizsanyik, the mission of the company, founded and headed by Thomas Mayer, is to connect with its new target audience of women between the ages of 29 and 39. At the same time, it is expanding its presence in the region, having opened its first store in Melbourne in 2014 with Edwards Imports.

That year, Desigual’s roadmap proposed the expansion of the business network in both countries, locating a second establishment in Sydney. However, an opening never materialized.
