According to Krizsanyik, the mission of the company, founded and headed by Thomas Mayer, is to connect with its new target audience of women between the ages of 29 and 39. At the same time, it is expanding its presence in the region, having opened its first store in Melbourne in 2014 with Edwards Imports.

That year, Desigual’s roadmap proposed the expansion of the business network in both countries, locating a second establishment in Sydney. However, an opening never materialized.
