Galaxy Z Flip5 passes 400,000 folds during YouTube live channel test – Samsung India Newsroom

Popular YouTuber Kuba Klawiter with Polish tech did a second livestream where he put a Samsung device to a fold resistance test. On this occasion, it held the new Galaxy Z Flip5 more than 400,000 times for more than 164 consecutive hours.

The broadcast lasted 6 consecutive days and was broadcast live on the YouTube channel @employee. Loaded Galaxy Z Flip5 total of 401,146 times with the device on.

This test involved different volunteers who were responsible for folding and unfolding the device. It should be noted that in quality tests conducted by Samsung, the certified company guaranteed 200,000 folds, which is almost five years of use if it is folded and opened 100 times a day.

The challenge verified the great reliability of the Flex Hinge, the new robust hinge offered by these devices, and its IPX8 certification, in which it was also immersed in water, passed through flour and eggs, sanded and exposed to extreme temperatures, to show its resistance.

The new Galaxy Z Flip5 and Z Fold5 are specially designed to meet the durability needs of users. The main display is equipped with a shock-absorbing layer and a redesigned back for a more solid display. Both devices feature Armor Aluminum frames and Corning® Gorilla® Victus®2 glass on all of their displays. In addition, the new integrated hinge unit consists of a dual-rail construction that dampens external shock.

Watch the video below to learn about the rigorous quality tests these devices have undergone to ensure their reliability and resistance to continued use over time.
