German ministers visit an area hit by the double quake: “Words can’t explain it”

German ministers Annalina Berbock (Foreign Affairs) f Nancy Visser (Interior), carried out inspections in the Pazardzhik district of Kahramanmaraş, the epicenter of the earthquakes on February 6, which was described as the “catastrophe of the century.”

After meeting the victims in the tent city, the ministers visited the medical care tent set up by German volunteer doctors.

They walked through the rubble areas of the district center and appeared before the media to report on the situation.

The German Foreign Minister said, “The dimensions of this seismic disaster cannot be explained in words, although it may be present here.”

The German diplomat confirmed that she saw the importance of international assistance.

He emphasized that, like the German government, they provided aid worth 50 million euros for tents, medical equipment, food, blankets and generators.

He declared that “in this way, German assistance to the victims has reached 108 million euros.”

For her part, the Minister of the Interior, Visser, confirmed that they had come in solidarity with the victims, and that they were able to see not only the grief here, but also the quality of aid delivery.
