The Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs appointed Manuel García de la Vega, head of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health until now at the Juan Ramón Jiménez Hospital in Huelva, as the new administrative director of the hospital center, after this position had been declared invalid on two occasions, the last on February 5, after he was recalled. The decision published on Thursday in the Official Gazette of the Andalusian Military Council, consulted by Europa Press, stipulates that the appointment will take effect on the same day of publication, that is, Thursday.

It also indicates that this decision may be administratively appealed before the Administrative Disputes Court within a period of two months from the day following its announcement.

According to the Juan Ramón Jiménez Hospital page, Manuel García de la Vega Sosa is the Head of the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Service at the Juan Ramón Jiménez University Hospital and in October 2023 he was also appointed President of the Spanish Society of Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Health and Health Administration (SEMPSPGS) at its annual meeting.

García de la Vega has been head of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at Juan Ramón Jiménez University Hospital for more than five years.
