“Health Promoting Schools”: a vital program for the well-being of students, families and the community: Prensa Goberno de Mendoza

Primary schools in Greater Mendoza will participate in health promotion workshops in the educational field.

Monday, October 9th workshop meeting Strategies for promoting health-promoting schools in Argentina. Taking into account that health is not alien to school, but rather a part of it, as educational institutions are in themselves spaces in which health is built.

The World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with UNESCO promotes planned actions every year on different dimensions of school life, with the aim of positively influencing health and creating healthy learning environments.

The Ministry of Health, Social Development and Sports, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Schools, is promoting this initiative, which targets primary schools in the governorate. On this occasion, six educational institutions from Greater Mendoza will participate with their directors and the intersectoral technical team.

The proposed activities and objectives of the meeting include:

• Deepen the knowledge gained.
• Create a post of what you have achieved so far.
• Share experiences about the difficulties that have arisen.
• Work as a group in planning and implementing future projects or strategies for educational institutions, depending on the location in which they are located and the needs of each of them.
