Hill + Knowlton Strategies has acquired JeffreyGroup and has a new regional leader

Hill + Knowlton Strategies (H+K), one of the world’s leading telecommunications companies, announces its acquisition of JeffreyGroupa Latin American communications, public affairs and marketing consultancy.

According to the company, the process makes H+K the pre-eminent global communications agency in the region. They assert that they are still unable to disclose financial information about this acquisition.

JeffreyGroup will continue to operate its premium brand in Latin America as part of Hill + Knowlton. Brian Burlingame, who has been CEO of JeffreyGroup since 2015, will lead H+K’s entire Latin American operation.which includes the two old companies, which have similar net sales and employee numbers but are distributed differently across Latin American markets.

Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, Burlingame has spent over 25 years building business and advising for a variety of multinational companies in Latin America and the Caribbean. Report to Richard Miller CEO of H+K Americasand joined the H+K Global Leadership Council. Jeffrey Charlach, founder of JeffreyGroup, will continue to chair its board.

In a directly related move, Hill + Knowlton announced the global expansion of its idealized brand, which is now focused on the growing market need for strategic communications consulting services supporting disruptive technology companies and those looking for a highly strategic communications partner generation. Ideal for operating as a global subsidiary of H+K.

H+K acquired the Brazil-based Ideal Group in 2015, serving some of the largest brands in the region. Ricardo Cesar, who has led H+K operations in Latin America since 2018, has been promoted to Global CEO of Ideal and tasked with bringing the Ideal brand and business model to the global market. Kaiser will report to H+K’s Global President and CEO and will remain a member of the Global Leadership Council.
