IATA and ARC expand database to improve the sector

Includes information on more than 15 billion flights from 490 airlines and 230 countries

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) have expanded their Direct Data Solutions (DDS) partnership, It provides participating airlines with the world’s most comprehensive collection of itinerary, market and sales data.

The partnership extension, signed at the 2023 IATA Global Passenger Symposium, ensures that more than 100 global airlines will continue to have access to this vital service for years to come.

DDS integrates airline-contributed data, IATA Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) transactions, and ARC Area Settlement Plan (ASP) transactions into a single data source to support critical airline analytics and decisions.

Jointly created in 2012 by IATA and ARC, the DDS is the largest and most comprehensive airline ticket dataset in the world. It includes more than 15 billion passenger flights representing 490 airlines and 230 countries and regions.

“DDS is a vital business intelligence tool that provides airline customers with unique, easily accessible information to compare their performance with that of other participating airlines. DDS contributes significantly to making IATA a trusted source of data,” said Willie Walsh, IATA Director General. Industry, including traffic, safety, operations and sustainability.”
