The previous day, a barrage of missiles was fired at Pentagon forces in the Koniko and Al-Omar oil fields in the same Deir ez-Zor governorate.

The Islamic resistance militias in Iraq, allied with Damascus in the war against terrorism and against occupation, adopted such actions, which exceeded 100, against North American forces.

The aforementioned entity confirms in its statements that its attacks come within the framework of the resistance approach against the American occupation forces in Syria, Iraq and the region, and in response to the massacres committed by Israel against the Palestinian people in Gaza. .

Syria has repeatedly denounced this presence, which it described as an occupation, and stressed that the actions of the American army in the national territory encourage terrorist activity and aim to destabilize the country and plunder its wealth.
