Last week, Boyacá National Institute of Health reported 21 positive cases of COVID-19

The Ministry’s Secretariat of Health confirmed 21 new cases of COVID-19 in Boyaka, from 18 to 24 November, five in Tonga, five in Sugamuso, three in Muneakira, two in Duitama, two in Nobesa and one in Aquitaine, Paipa, Kubara and Tenyaka.

Of the total reported cases, there are 12 women and nine men, five of whom are hospitalized and the others are at home with isolation measures.

COVID-19 Prevention and Containment Measures:

• Complete the COVID-19 vaccination schedule.

• Isolate yourself for 7 days when symptoms appear.

Frequent hand washing or the use of gels or disinfectants.

• Use a mask when you have flu symptoms or pre-existing illnesses that warrant it.

• Remember that the most vulnerable population is adults over 70 years of age, in whom we must be alert for signs: respiratory distress, fever that does not improve or general condition worsens.
