Launching the Short Film Photography Festival in Lebanon

According to what was revealed by the Organizing Committee, 29 films will compete in the categories of Best Narrative, Documentary, Animation and Photography.

The jury, consisting of Spanish director Ana Sandrero Alvarez, Sudanese Nasser Youssef, Lebanese Muriel Abu Al-Rous, Walid Moanes, Fadi Al-Suri and Shadi Zaidan, will honor the most prominent actor and actress, in addition to awarding an award in the national film. to divide.

Scheduled until Monday at the National Theater in the southern city of Tyre, public films from Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, France, Iran, Syria, Bahrain, Switzerland, the United States, the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Czech Republic will be screened. Republic, Palestine, Italy, Jordan, China, Egypt and Lebanon.

The seventh art competition works to support local audiovisual production and cultural exchange; In addition to organizing training workshops, seminars and talks with directors, Qasim Istanbuli, director of the festival, went to the festival.

In one of the side sessions, the Lebanese actor Fouad Charafeddine, born in 1941 and one of the most famous figures in the film industry in Lebanon and the Arab world in the seventies and eighties, will be honored.

Since its premiere in 2014, the film event has made room for an exhibition of films from student projects and young filmmakers.
