Phoenix — Meryl Kelly fell in game one of his first full game, as Dalton Farchaux and David Peralta finished in the eighth inning, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Colorado Rockies 4-1 Friday night.
The game was tied 1-1 at eight when Farch found a 98 mph fastball from Carlos Estevez and sent the ball over the right-court fence. This was the sixth home run for Farshaw this year.
Two strokes later, Peralta added a two-round shot that put the Diamondbacks up 4-1.
Arizona has won four straight times to break the 0.500 barrier for the first time since the season opener. He has a 14-13 record.
His teammates were helped in time by Diamondbacks Kelly (3-1) to the win. The right-hander needed 106 throws to tackle eight innings and two-thirds, during which one run and seven hits were allowed.
He distributed a few rounds of walking and had eight hits. His Era improved to 1.23.
For the Rockies, Venezuelan Elias Diaz 4-1. Cuba’s Jose Iglesias 3-1.
For the Diamondbacks, Venezuelan Peralta scored 4-1 in one round and produced two, Jonathan Herrera 2-1. Dominican Kettle Mart 3-1.
