Microsoft Edge 99 arrives with security improvements and in a PDF reader

Microsoft Edge, Microsoft’s popular browser, has arrived at Version 99the pre-released premium version “100” which will arrive very soon with Google Chrome.

What’s new in Edge 99?

In addition to the new features of the latest Chromium version, Edge 99 includes the following features:

  • Preparing for the arrival of version 100 of Microsoft Edge. With the arrival of the 100th edition of Edge, the browser will use a file Series in that user agent Three numbers, which may cause compatibility issues. Starting with Microsoft Edge 97, administrators can try this new version proxy chain Enable demo flag # force-major-version-to-100 inches edge: // flags.
  • Customize multiple profile experiences with sites’ profile preferences. Users can customize their experience in multiple profiles by creating a custom list of sites for automatic profile switching in Microsoft Edge.
  • Browse PDF documents using page thumbnails. You will now be able to navigate your PDF document using thumbnails that represent the pages. These thumbnails will appear in the right pane of the PDF reader.
  • Configure the list of domains whose password manager user interface will be disabled for saving and filling. Use the PasswordManagerBlocklist policy to configure the list of domains (HTTP/HTTPS systems and hostnames only) for which Microsoft Edge should disable the password manager. This means that Save and Fill will be disabled, ensuring that website passwords cannot be saved or filled in automatically.
  • Custom master password. The browser already has the ability to add an authentication step before saved passwords are automatically filled into web forms. This adds another layer of privacy and helps prevent unauthorized users from using your saved passwords to enter websites. The custom master password is an evolution of that same feature, where users will be able to use a custom string of their choice as their master password. Once activated, users will enter this password for authentication and the saved passwords will be automatically filled into web forms.
