New Zealand vs BAN 1st T20I: Bangladesh secure convincing win after masterclass from Shoriful and Mahedi

Bangladesh cricket team did not give up. After batting in the first two matches of Bangladesh's tour of New Zealand, the visitors are back in style. To build on their third ODI win, they defeated the Kiwis at home in New Zealand in the BAN 1st T20I at Napier.

Shoriful, Mahedi and Mustafizur grabbed the limelight

Mahedi Hasan gave Bangladesh the perfect start as he bowled Tim Seifert in the first over. However, Shoriful Islam removed Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips in the second over to put him one-up. The Kiwis were miserable losing three wickets for one run.

To make matters worse, Mahedi dismissed Daryl Mitchell and New Zealand were 20-4. Despite the comebacks of James Neesham and Mitchell Santner, New Zealand could only manage 134 runs in 20 overs.

Mustafizur Rahman cleaned up Nishan and Tim Southee as the Kiwis did not take the lead at the end of the first innings.
