New Zealand's World Cup roster to face La Roja

New Zealand's World Cup roster to face La Roja

New Zealand has invited 19 players who competed in the 2023 Women's World Cup to face the Chile national team on this FIFA date.

La Roja Santiago wants to finish its preparation for the 2023 Pan American Games in the best possible way. For this reason, it has scheduled two friendly matches against New Zealand on Saturday, September 23 and Tuesday, September 26. The first game will be played at the Bicentenario Stadium in La Florida at 7:00pm, while the second will be played behind closed doors.

A few days ago, Czech coach Jidka Klimkova presented the list of players called up for the matches against La Roja. A total of 24 footballers travel to Santiago to face the Chilean national team. Of them, 19 competed in the 2023 Women's World Cup, where they were co-hosts.

Only four World Cup players were not mentioned. These are Erin Naylor, Elizabeth Anton, Daisy Cleverley and Ria Percival who will not play against Chile in the coming days. Likewise, Kate Taylor went to the 2023 Women's World Cup as a first-team sparring partner and has now made the shortlist.

La Roja's first friendly against New Zealand will be televised exclusively on television and streaming on the Silvesian and Paramount+ app. The second meeting, for its part, will be behind closed doors.
