NotFonda: the arrival of the alternative eighteenth celebration with the Amazonian Cumbia in Los Meerlos

The name leaves little room for doubt: NotFonda. In this way, the national holiday event, which will be held on September 18 at the Matucana 100 Cultural Center and which is specifically aimed at promoting the festivities from another perspective, is christened. And another sound.

“From the creators of the En Órbita Festival, an experience was born filled with sheesha, Amazonian sounds, close encounters of crazy cumbias and interplanetary calls toward electronics,” the organizers say in their statement.

The event will be led by the Peruvian band Los Meerlosicons of the so-called Amazonian cumbia, which fuses psychedelic guitars with tropical rhythms, in their case in beats like Oh baby, blackbird dance s orradito.

The day includes a stage in the square – focused more on electronics – where the show will be performed by DJs Chancha Vía Circuito, Friolento, Roots Hifi & Chinoman, Alejandro Paz and Mariana Montenegro. Meanwhile, another stage in the park will include Deguers, Klein Pia, Saulo B2B Valeotro and Iván Barría.

The appointment starts at 4:00 PM and runs until 3 AM.
