Odorese was the victim of a vicious attack

Philadelphia – Rhys Hoskins shook and led in four games, Aaron Nola scored six goals and the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Atlanta Braves 9-1 on Friday night for their third win.

Alec Boom made a three-stroke for the Phillies, who maintained a 2 1/2 lead over Milwaukee in search of the third and final wild card spot in the playoffs.

Dansby Swanson and Puerto Rican Eddie Rosario both contributed to the Atlanta affair, losing their third game in a row. The Braves have not had four losses all season, and this is the fourth consecutive three-game losing streak this year for the World Series champions.

Today’s Braves started a game-and-a-half behind the New York Mets, the leaders of the Eastern Conference of the National League. However, they are leading the wild card bid in the old circuit.

Philadelphia scored four goals in the second half from Jake Odorizi (5-6). A pair of singles by Bohm and Brandon Marsh, plus an outing to Jean Segura, carried the bases with no ends. Bryson Stott hit the sacrifice fly before Matt Ferrling got his RBI hit.

Hoskins added a double run.

Nola (10-12) missed four hits, hit eight and walked three times.

For the brave, Venezuelan William Contreras 3-0. Puerto Rican Eddie Rosario 4-1 inning record.

For Velez, Dominican Segura scored 3-0 in one round.
