Jonesky Maya had a strong start and Aguilas Cibinas defeated Tigres del Licey 4-1, taking their seventh straight win to lead the Dominican Major League Baseball.

Maya made 5 2/3 innings allowing five hits and one round to claim victory. Brooks Hall lost, having allowed two runs and three hits in 4 and 2/3 innings.

Yario Muñóz went 2-on-2 with a double and an RBI, while Jerar Encarnación and Cade Gotta added a single RBI to lead Águilas Cibaeñas’ attack.

At San Francisco de Macoris, Gigantes del Cibao exploded with a five-round attack at the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome the deficit and defeat Estrellas Orientales 12-9.

Kelvin Gutierrez went 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBIs, Iván Castillo went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Eury Pérez scored two goals with two runs and scored one RBI to lead the winning attack.
