The Peruvian and New Zealand football teams will meet in Barcelona on June 5 as part of preparations for the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoff match against the winner of the match between Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) has announced that Real Club Deportivo Español Stadium will be the scene of a match against the All Whites, who will qualify for another playoff World Cup against Costa Rica.

The team, led by Argentina Ricardo Carrera, is looking to advance to the second World Cup following the playoffs on June 13 against the winner of the match between Australia and the United Arab Emirates.

In Peru, Australia have been given a potential contender, with the Peruvians already trailing 2-0 with goals from Andre Guerrero and Pavlo Guerrero in the group stage of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Peru qualified for the World Cup playoffs for the second time in a row, after finishing fifth in the South American qualifying rounds after Ecuador, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil, who qualified directly for Qatar.
