Puebla records 33 active cases of COVID-19: Health

The head of the agency, Araceli Soria Cordoba, confirmed that no new cases of influenza had been recorded during the past 24 hours.

PUEBLA CITY, Puebla – The current government of Sergio Salomon, through the Ministry of Health, reports that there are 33 active cases of COVID-19, distributed in six municipalities of the state.

In this context, the head of the agency, Araceli Soria Cordoba, highlighted that during the past 24 hours, seven new infections were recorded and no deaths were recorded due to this virus. In addition, 11 people are hospitalized, one of whom requires assisted mechanical ventilation.

The Puebla government calls on residents to maintain prevention and hygiene measures such as frequent hand washing, appropriate sneezing and use of antibacterial gel.

Regarding influenza monitoring, the head of health services indicated that as of January 28, no new positive cases or deaths from this virus had been recorded.

He also indicated that during the past 24 hours, 11 people were hospitalized. In addition, he explained that only four municipalities have cases of influenza.

The current government of Sergio Salomon recommends the use of face masks for people with respiratory symptoms, as well as in enclosed spaces with crowds of people.
