Pumas against Australia, aiming for first win

The Argentina rugby team will face their Australian team tomorrow in the second and final match of the Rugby Championship.

The match will be played this Saturday at 6.45pm at the Comm Bank Stadium in Sydney and will be refereed by Jaco Peyper (South Africa), televised on ESPN and Star+.

New Zealand-South Africa will open the show at 4.05 am at Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland. Directed by Mathieu Reynol (France).

Los Pumas lost 41-12 in their first game against New Zealand last week at the Malvinas Argentinas Stadium in Mendoza. National team players from various eras were honoured, including Bernardo Stortoni from Bahia.

Earlier, defending world champions South Africa beat Australia 43-12 on the first date in Pretoria.

With these results, South Africa and New Zealand took the top spot with 5 points each, while Argentina and Australia added no units.

The Pumas need to improve defensively (All Blacks 7 tries), be accurate in handling the ball and look for attacking variations and be more effective in set positions.

Coach Michel Cheika has ordered four changes to the starting line-up against the Wallabies: Mendoza wing Rodrigo Iscro (photo below) will make his debut as a member of the Las Pumas 7s and who will replace Sebastian Cancellier.

Also, winger Geronimo de la Fuente from Rosario will come in for Matias Moroni, while prop Francisco Gomez Godella will come in for Lucio Zordoni and third row Santiago Crondona will come in for Rodrigo Bruni. Eighth man Juan Manuel Gonzalez and center Lucio Cindy will also switch positions in the field.
