Seattle – Salvador Perez returned for the fourth consecutive game to hit 37 penalties this season, and the Kansas City Royals beat the Seattle Mariners 4-2 on Saturday night.
Venezuelan Perez made two rounds of hitting. Wyatt Merrifield had another run at home with Kansas City, whose third win over Seattle hurt the Mariners’ playoff ambitions.
For the eleventh time in his career, Murrayfield started a home game. He did it in the second court from the start Tyler Anderson (6-9).
Perez, who won Grand Slams in each of the first two games of the series, hit his home run by two points in the fifth inning. Dylan Moore came close to catching the ball by jumping off the wall in left field.
Domingo Tapia, Joel Payamps (1-3) and Scott Barlow combined to cover 4 1/3 innings, allowing for four hits and one round. With a few surprises, Barlow made his tenth rescue.
For the royal family, Venezuelan Perez 3-1 with one goal and two RBIs, Eduard Olivares 4-0. Dominican Hanser Alberto 4-0. Puerto Rican Emmanuel Rivera 4-1 game record.
For the Mariners, Venezuelan Luis Torres 4-2 with RBI.
