Roval Alpinest SLX, the world’s lightest and most durable aluminum road wheel

Roval, the specialty component brand, has increased its product catalog with quite a few new features for the 2023 season, one of which is the Integrated Handlebar Control Cockpit for its XC bikes; And another equally interesting one is the Roval Alpinist SLX wheels, the lightest, most durable and most stable the brand has ever made.

Such is the quality and performance of these revamped aluminum wheels that Roval has included in its Alpinist lineup, rubbing shoulders with the Alpinist CLX, the manufacturer’s lightest carbon wheelset. In fact, it’s the first aluminum Roval in the range, with a claimed weight of just 1485g per set.

The Roval Alpineest SLX is a versatile road bike. For climbers, the wheels are stiff enough for high-powered efforts and provide a confident ride. For lovers of long roads, it provides the comfort needed to ride for kilometers and kilometers.

Unlike the previous version, the wheels have a shot blast treatment from 6061 aluminum that increases useful life against fatigue, and thanks to some proven DT Swiss 350 hubs, combined with Sapim brakes, they achieve a very well-balanced overall weight.
