Saudi Arabia is ready to host the Grand Prix

Saudi Arabia debuted on the Formula 1 calendar in the 2021 season with the Jeddah Street Circuit. However, organizers are planning to host the country’s second Grand Prix when Qiddiya is completed.

The Middle Eastern country made its debut in this category last season, battling its first-ever Saudi Grand Prix at Jeddah Street Circuit. There are already two dates the country has hosted in these years and it’s confirmed that it will be part of the calendar in the future.

However, the Jeddah Street Circuit was intended to be a temporary site, as it was thought from the start that it would host the Grand Prix at Qiddiya Circuit, a circuit under construction that will be completed in 2026. But on the part of the organization they would be happy to keep Jeddah and hold two of the Grand Prix Greater Singapore after the completion of the track construction.

“We see the benefits of having these events and that is why we are investing so much.”Abdul Aziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the country’s Minister of Sports, stated in motorsports.
