Shania Twain announces an album and a documentary about her career

Ottawa, July 20 (Prensa Latina) A documentary and album covering the career of Canadian singer Shania Twain will be released on July 26 under the title Not Just a Girl, the artist announced today.

The audiovisual audio will be shown through the Netflix streaming platform, while the album will be available in digital format under the Mercury Studios label, which collaborated on this production with EMI Records and Universal Music Group.

The film, produced and directed by Joss Crowley, takes a journey through Twain’s life from his childhood, his beginnings in music, to his rise to a world-famous star, a career accompanied by commentary from major artists such as Lionel Richie, Diplo, Avril Lavigne, and Orville Beck.

For her part, Not Just a Girl (The Highlights), the full name of the album, suggests a collection of 18 Twain songs, including songs from this moment, Any Man Of Mine, Life’s About To Get Good, which gives the album its name.

The physical version of the audio recording will be released on September 2nd and copies can already be booked.

In addition to the release of the documentary and album, the artist will be honored on August 24 with the Poet Prize, an honor awarded by the Academy of Country Music for her musical contributions throughout her career and the impact of his work in the genre.

The prestigious awards ceremony will take place on August 24, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, United States, where the careers of Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen will also be honored.
