SSM announces free no-scalpel vasectomies in Uruapan

Uruapan, Michoacán, April 10, 2024._ The Ministry of Health of Michoacan (SSM) will hold the second day of free no-scalpel vasectomies, on May 17, which all interested men can attend at the Urban Health Center José Álvarez Amezquita of Uruapan.

Male residents, who have the desired number of children or who simply do not wish to have more beds, can schedule surgery.

The requirements are simple, such as being of legal age, going to the medical unit from Monday to Sunday to request the surgical procedure or calling 40171 52 452.

It can also be performed on the same day at the health center, as the intervention is simple and free, and it is a safe and painless procedure that is performed in outpatient clinics.

The Uruapan Urban Health Center has an established unit to carry out this procedure, but it is necessary to hold sessions promoting the importance of permanent family planning among men, to promote a full, responsible and risk-free sexual life.
