Strikepoint Gold Cuprite Gold Project

The company expects to implement a program of 7 to 10 wells with a total drilling of 5,000 meters using reverse circulation methods.

StrikePoint Gold Inc. announced It has begun drilling at the 44-square-kilometre Cuprite Gold Project located in Nevada's Walker Lane Trend, about 75 kilometers north of AngloGold's multi-billion-dollar Merlin silicon and gold discoveries.

The company expects to implement a program consisting of 7 to 10 wells with a total drilling of approximately 5,000 meters using reverse circulation methods.

Drilling will be completed by Envirotech Drilling in Winnemucca, Nevada.

Superficial similarities to AngloGold's new silicon and Merlin discoveries make Cuprite Gold a compelling drilling target, said Michael J. Allen, president and CEO of StrikePoint.

“We are very excited to begin drilling at this high-grade exploration target located off Interstate 95 in Nevada,” he said.

Silicon and Merlin are new blind discoveries totaling more than 13 million ounces of gold and proving that there are still Tier 1 gold discoveries to be made in Nevada, especially in the Walker Lane Trend.
