The 2023 Bogotá Classical Music Festival will be dedicated to La Belle Époque

Bogotá, November 5 (EFE). – The Sixth International Festival of Classical Music will be held in Bogotá from April 5-8, 2023 and will be dedicated to the La Belle Époque period, Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo reported on Saturday. .

Under the theme “Bogota is France”, the festival will include in its repertoire the works of Claude Debussy, Maurice Ravel, Lily Boulanger, Camille Saint-Saën, Gabriel Faurie and Cecil Chaminade, among others, performed by musicians from different countries.

Among them are award-winning German singer Otti Limber, who will be responsible for the opening ceremony with “Paris Days and Berlin Nights”; The Orchester des Champs-Élysées, under the direction of Gabriella Teychenné; Austrian guitarist Elisabeth Blank.

The festival, which will take place in the Teatro Mayor and 15 other theaters in Bogotá, will also feature Colombian artists, such as soprano Petit Garces, cellist Santiago Canyon Valencia, accordionist Lacides Romero, pianist Blanca Uribe, and the Philharmonic Orchestra.
