The Cuban from Hialeah was jailed for burglary and illegal actions

Hialeah authorities recently arrested a Cuban accused of multiple thefts of auto parts and of running an illegal hauling business. Island-born Pedro Martín, and his partner, Michel Gonzalo Soca, are currently under police investigation.

The events occurred last Friday. On that day, those involved stole various parts from a car located at the Uptown Suites Hotel, at 1071 NE 28th Ave. On Sunday, law enforcement arrested the 51-year-old Cuban at the Homestead.

Security cameras revealed the perpetrators of the act. Martin placed his truck in front of the car that was the victim of the theft and, along with his partner, took several pieces of the car in question. In this case, it was the aforementioned 47-year-old Michel Gonzalo Soca.

The history of theft

According to police reports published so far, on Wednesday last week Martin towed Gonzalo’s truck. The trip from Hialeah to the mobile home where he lives was off said hotel property.

The fact-finding authorities confirmed that neither party had a license to operate the cranes. This was a completely illegal act. Both are now facing multiple charges of robbery and grand theft.

And as if that weren’t enough, Martin faces another fee for towing a vehicle without trademarks. This is a third degree felony. You will also have to answer before a judge for multiple violations of local laws, and failure to keep records about your towing business.

About a week ago, a Cuban woman who lives in Hialeah was arrested for fraud against the Public Housing Authority. She was a recipient of government assistance for home rentals, a program known as Plan 8.

The detainee caused losses estimated at about $20,000 to the Public Authority. She omitted the actual amount of her income and did not mention that she lived with a family member with a serious criminal record.
