The draw for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship 2025 qualifiers: Thursday | Europeans under 21

The qualifying draw for the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in Slovakia will be playable from 09:00 CET on Thursday 2 February.

The 52 teams participating in the qualifiers between March 2023 and November 2024 will compete for 15 places in the final stage to accompany the host country, Slovakia.

How does the UEFA U-21 2025 qualifying draw work?

• The host country, Slovakia, qualifies directly to the final of the tournament in the summer of 2025.
• The selections are arranged based on the system of transactions created according to Regulation, Appendix A (in English).
• The 52 teams are divided into six pots as follows:
  Pot 6: Picks 46 to 52 (7-ball)
  Drum 5: Selections 37 to 45 (9-ball)
  Drum 4: Selections 28 to 36 (9-ball)
  Pot 3: Picks 19 to 27 (9-ball)
  Drum 2: Selections 10 to 18 (9-ball)
  Pot 1: Selections 1 to 9 (9-ball)
• The teams will be divided into seven groups of six teams and two groups of five.
• The collections will take place between March 2023 and October 2024.
• The top nine of the groups and three of the best runners-up (not counting the results against the sixth in the group) will qualify directly for the final stage from the summer of 2025.
• Six more seconds in the groups will play back-and-forth in November 2024 for the three remaining places in the final stage.

Action fee

• The draw starts with pot 6 and ends with pot 1.
• Each cylinder must be completely emptied to proceed to the next.
• The first ball out of Pot 6 will determine which team finishes sixth in Pool A.
• The next ball drawn from pot 6 will determine which pick moves to sixth place in pool B. The same procedure is repeated until all balls drawn in pot 6 have all sixth places in groups A through G of a team. Designation.
• Pot 5 then follows to determine which teams move to fifth in Groups A to I (in alphabetical order) until all balls have been drawn in Pot 5. The same procedure is followed for Pots 4, 3, 2 and 1 to fill the fourth, third, second and first positions of the groups A through I (in alphabetical order), respectively.

In accordance with the decisions of the UEFA Executive Committee in force at the time the draw takes place, the following pairs of teams cannot be drawn into the same group:

• Armenia and Azerbaijan
• Belarus and Ukraine
• Gibraltar and Spain
• Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo
• Kosovo and Serbia

All Russian national teams are currently suspended from UEFA competitions until further notice in accordance with the decision taken by the UEFA Executive Committee on 28 February 2022 and confirmed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport on 15 July 2022. Therefore, Russia is not included in the 2023-25 ​​European Under-21 Championship.
