The government approves the 2021-2025 regional health plan for health districts

BARCELONA, July 11 (European press) –

The Ministry of Health of the Generalitat on Monday approved the regional health plan 2021-2025 that represents the “strategic lines” of health regions in Catalonia, the Catalan executive said in a statement.

These are nine regional health plans “affecting specific needs” for each of the Catalan health regions – seven regions, of which Barcelona is divided into three large regional areas -.

These plans adapt the objectives of the Catalan Health Plan to the realities of each territory and involved 1134 professionals from different fields who “contributed to the prioritization of actions in terms of the territory”.

The plans are centered around four main strategies: equal opportunity in health throughout life, healthy environments, healthcare integration, and transversal levers of change.

With an average of 175 procedures suggested by each health district, each regional health plan has an average of 60 procedures defined as tracked, meaning they will have an annual follow-up.
