The links between China, Latin America and the Caribbean emerge in Nicaragua

In this sense, he referred to the relations in this new era, which he said should be characterized by equality, mutual benefit, poverty eradication, innovation and the welfare of peoples.

Porras noted that the relationship between China and Latin America and the Caribbean is characterized by mutual respect, respect for sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, territorial integrity of countries, the right to development and the resolution of disputes by peaceful means.

Likewise, he highlighted the importance of China and Latin America and the Caribbean in maintaining international peace and security; In addition to protecting human rights, defending pluralism, in addition to promoting sustainable, inclusive and resilient development.

The Sandinista leader rejected the threat or use of force, as well as unilateral coercive measures in violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, which he commented as threatening sovereignty and stability.

On the other hand, he referred to the six work axes that were approved in April, among which is the improvement of political mutual trust. Economic recovery after the epidemic and the establishment of a pattern of people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

Other work objectives are related to meeting the challenge of climate change and intensifying political outreach between China and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, among others.
