Paris, January 15 (EFE). – The Louvre asked the leader of the far-right National Rally, Marine Le Pen, to withdraw her campaign video for the French presidential elections in April, which was recorded largely before the famous institution pyramid.

The video, released today, begins with Le Pen next to the famous pyramid of the Louvre, “a symbol of France’s continuity,” greeting the French and sending a “message of mobilization and hope.”

The museum was chosen because under the pyramid, the current French president, Emmanuel Macron, celebrated his election in 2017, and his promises “faded away,” Le Pen says in the video.

However, the photos did not go to the Louvre, the world’s largest museum, and sources from the foundation told Le Parisien newspaper that “no license” has been granted to the far-right party to photograph.

The sources added, “The Louvre, as the exclusive franchisor of all heritage rights to the pyramid envisioned by architect (Euh Ming) Bai, states that any use of the pyramid’s image must be subject to prior authorization.” Capital Newspaper.

Jordan Bardella, number two on RN, was quick to respond on Twitter asking “Who do they think the Louvre belongs to?” And he himself responds: “It belongs to all the French.”

In the April elections, Le Pen hopes to at least repeat the result of 2017, when she reached the second round, in which she was defeated by Macron.

Opinion polls indicate that it will be more difficult this time to reach the second round, because her voter numbers are very similar to those of Conservative candidate Valerie Pecres. EFE
