The Minister of Health introduced the Community Health Team, Ben Bolivar

This morning, the Municipal Health Minister, Maria Estella Joffre, presented a community health team coordinated by Mariela Demacy, who will carry out the regional work in the community.

Under the Community Health Program, the regional team formed after the pandemic will work by bringing information to promote disease and prevent disease in the region.

The Ministry of Health is currently working, in coordination with the Regional Cancer Institute, in three lines of care for colorectal, breast and cervical cancer, as they are the leading causes of death in Argentina.

In addition, health agents will survey the 1,000 Day Program for Pregnant Women and Children up to 3 years of age, and the crib program for pregnant women who do not have Social Security coverage.

The 10-person team will tour the urban plant in the coming days, to survey the neighbors at home. It is important to keep in mind that health workers will be identified with light blue bibs and credentials with their name and identity.

“This is the first time we have surveyed an urban factory, where agents are identified so that people can trust them and open the door for them. It is essential that they can answer the survey because all public health measures are taken based on this data,” Joffrey explained.
