“Part of the marketing strategy is to educate customers across the region, and FIDAE is an important event to show,” he added.

According to Airbus, the A220 is making its “first in South America” ​​as it tours the region on a demonstration tour.

“In Latin America, we haven’t yet flew with this aircraft. Today we are number one in the region, with 56% of aircraft flying from Airbus, and we’ve had incredible success with our other single-aisle family,” he added. roadblock.

The A220 is the “only aircraft” designed for the 100- to 150-seat market and features “the latest aerodynamics, advanced materials and propeller engines,” according to information provided by Airbus.

It also reduces noise by 50% and up to 25% per seat fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to previous generation aircraft, and emits 50% less nitrogen oxides (NOx) than industry standards.
