The Pumas will play the British and Irish Lions in 2025

Pumas They confirmed the match against British and Irish lions At Aviva Stadium Dublin On Friday, June 20, 2025 for the 1888 Lions Cup. The last date of this tournament was May 23, 2005 and ended in a 25-25 draw.

After 20 years, Argentina will again play against the historic British team. This will be in preparation for the legendary team’s subsequent tour across Australia.

The Lions and Los Pumas faced each other for the first time in 1910 in our country. Then the Europeans returned to the light blue and white land in 1927 and 1936. The last match between the two teams was held in Cardiff in 2005 and ended in a 25-25 draw.

Ben Calveley, Chief Executive of British & Irish Lions, said of the announcement: “Excitement is building as we continue the countdown to Australia 2025 and we are delighted to confirm details of this match, which is a key part of the overall Tour schedule. The opportunity to play in Dublin at the Aviva Stadium in front of over 50,000 fans will be a wonderful occasion and the perfect send-off. I would like to thank the Irish Rugby Football Union and the Argentine Rugby Union for their support and cooperation in organizing this event.
