Moscow, December 3 (EFE).- The Russian Progress MS-25 cargo spacecraft, which launched last Friday from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, today docked with the International Space Station (ISS) carrying fuel, water, food and equipment necessary for spaceflight. Orbital platform crew.

According to the Russian space agency Roscosmos, the cargo ship docked with the Poisk module of the Russian sector of the International Space Station at 2:18 pm Moscow time (11:18 GMT), after orbiting the Earth 34 times.

Progress MS-25 will be in orbit for 178 days.

The ship carries 2,528 kilograms of cargo in its holds, including 515 kilograms of fuel, 420 liters of water, and 40 kilograms of liquid nitrogen.

In addition, it carries 1,553 kilograms of equipment and tools, as well as various materials needed for scientific experiments, clothing, food and hygiene supplies for the crew.

The space cargo ship will receive Russian astronauts Konstantin Borisov, Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub, who share the International Space Station with American astronauts Yasmine Moghbili and Laura O’Hara, Norwegian Andreas Mogensen and Japanese Satoshi Furukawa.

Progress MS was created on the basis of Soviet Soyuz ships manned by the space company Energuia, in order to transfer payloads to orbital stations as well as work to correct their orbits using their thrusters.
