The Supreme Electoral Court confirms Bukele's victory

Bukele won by an overwhelming majority at the polls, according to preliminary reports from ballot collection boards, whose tallies showed a marked difference between Bukele and Nuevas Ideas in relation to their rivals.

Last night the president was declared the winner after multidisciplinary consultancy in development SA (CID-Gallup) indicated the president had won with 87 percent of the votes, according to consultations at the polls.

The results of the vote for the Legislative Assembly were also positive, as it won 54 seats out of a total of 60 seats, one for the Christian Democratic Party and five others for the rest of the groups, according to what the CID Gallup Foundation reported.

Other rivals followed Bukele such as Manuel Flores of the National Liberation Front Farabundo Martí, seven percent, Joel Suarez (Arena) four, Nostro Tiempo with Luis Parada 1.6, Fuerza Solidaria 0.6, and Fraternidad Patriotica 0.5 with Marina Murillo.

A report from the Tokyo Stock Exchange at 9:51 pm local time, even without the total minutes, reflected the lead of the Novas Ideas by obtaining 1,522 million votes, with a significant difference from the FMLN, which came in second place by a large margin. 93,846 votes and the National Republican Alliance (Al-Saha) 81,102 votes.

Until that moment, these three parties maintain their legal status and do not disappear from the country's political life by obtaining more than 50,000 votes.

There are still more than six thousand minutes that could benefit parties such as Nuestro Tempo, which is in danger of extinction along with other groups such as Ghana, Fuerza Solidaria and Vamos.

Local media are reporting that starting today in the early hours of the morning, the counting of minutes is expected to be drawing to a close, but Bukele and Nuevas Ideas were already celebrating their victory last night.
